To request a criminal record search, either fax or write requesting the search of the full name (with the middle initial), date of birth, year range and type of case you are needing to be searched.  (Example:  Public, John Q., DOB: 1/1/1956, Year Range: 1980-1984, Felony/Misdemeanor/Traffic cases)

Cost: $6.00 per year searched - must be received with mailed request or prior to search being conducted.

Please indicate if your copies need to be certified; $10 fee

Reproduction of any document:  $2 First Page

                                                           50 cents/next (19) pages

                                                           25 cents/all remaining pages


Search will be conducted on faxed requests after payment is received.


Requested information and genealogy requests prior to 1986 is available by mail. Searching for records after 1986 is available online click here.  

Information requests will be conducted in the order they are received and completed as timely as possible. However, workload of the office may affect response time.  Please provide the adequate information so that we may complete your request.  Without this information, we will not be able to conduct a thorough search.  Example;  complete name, birth date, year range, and type of case you are needing to be searched.   


Union County Circuit Clerk's genealogy department will be open to the public on Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 - 12:00 and 1:00- 4:00.  Other days will be made available if requested in advance.
